Team coaching
How do you turn a bunch of individuals into a close-knit team?
An elite team is more than the sum of its parts. Its members need to motivate each other, spark each other’s imaginations and help each other be more productive.
"You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them."
How does our coaching work?
We base our approach on years of experience with high performing teams in Olympic sport and business. These are truly united teams, glued together by strong relationships to perform exceptionally under the hardest conditions.
We’ll work with your team as individuals to improve their skills and confidence. We’ll couple that with team coaching to strengthen relationships and help them understand when to stand together and when to challenge each other. We’ll help your team:
1. Understand your purpose
A team's members need to understand exactly what its purpose is. We'll start by helping define and map out the environment you work in. We'll use this understanding to define your unique contribution - the things you do that no-one else does.
2. Relate to each other
Working together means recognising and appreciating your team members' differences, and adapting to each other's strengths. So we'll explore the different personalities, working styles and ways of communicating to form stronger relationships.
3. Work more effectively
We'll look at ways of improving the team's day-to-day work. For any team, that means learning to run effective meetings that bring out the best from everyone. It also means improving skills in specific areas, and using those skills day-to-day.
4. Keep growing
It doesn't end there. Teams need to keep learning, so we help people concentrate on specifics to keep improving.
How long does it take?
We tailor our coaching to suit you, ranging from a single facilitated meeting to feedback and development over several months. We typically start our in-depth projects by interviewing each member of the team, and then move on to observing and giving feedback at team meetings, off-site workshops and during individual coaching sessions.
