Steve Nicklen

Steve is an experienced individual and team coach and organisational development consultant. He helps his clients, individually and in teams, to improve their performance through personal development and the development of their relationships with others.

Specialising in leadership coaching and development, Steve enables his clients to look at the organisational and broader systemic contexts within which they work, as well at their own personal strengths, in parallel. His aim is always to challenge and support his clients to find their own solutions, but he is also able to draw on his extensive personal experience in management and consultancy to suggest possible ways forward, where appropriate.

After a career as a scientist (at the MRC Laboratory for Molecular Biology, at Cambridge) and later as a fast stream civil servant in the DTI, Steve spent over 15 years as a change management consultant, with Hay, Kinsley Lord and Ernst & Young (where he headed the change management consultancy during the late 90s). During the mid-90s, he spent three years on the Management Board of the Audit Commission where he was accountable for the first national publications of the Citizens Charter PIs for local authorities.
