In his career with 3M, Ray led large profitable businesses across Europe.  His executive leadership experience includes acquiring businesses across borders,  successfully integrating new acquisitions and increasing sales and profit through product development and innovation. Ray now coaches and mentors senior executives in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, combining the skills of a professionally trained coach with the knowledge and judgment of a CEO.

Ray has built a reputation for identifying, coaching and mentoring talented younger leaders. For example, he assisted a female executive from Spain progress into European roles, developing her leadership skills and cultural awareness.  She is now Vice President of a major global business based in the USA.  For the success of his work in coaching and mentoring female colleagues, Ray was nominated “Mentor of the Year” in the Woman of the Future Awards 2006. 

His other area of expertise lies in mentoring business leaders through the acquisition process, helping them integrate the new culture and deliver a successful business outcome.

Ray is a graduate of the Meyler-Campbell “Business Coach” Programme, a member of the British Psychological Society – special coaching section and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

His passion for performance is nurtured by making time to run, swim and go to the gym – and his desire to improve his guitar-playing.
