Julie Allan

Julie works to reconnect people with their best and most capable selves - and to create organisational architectures or processes that enable this. Combining the evidence-based discipline of the chartered occupational psychologist, with the know-how gained from 13 years of consulting and coaching, she receives comments from clients such as, 'inspires trust. . . extremely helpful and constructive feedback. . .element of humour. . . relaxed and relaxing approach. . . made such a difference. . .’ And this from leaders in such demanding industries as financial services, the law, manufacturing and engineering, as well as the schools inspectorate Ofsted, Her Majesty's Treasury and the DTI.

Julie has a prior career in magazine publishing and, as well as being a writer for a flagship national BBC magazine, went on to run its editorial production team in a very time pressured creative environment. She undertook gestalt psychotherapy training before opting for a Masters psychology degree.

Often involved at the leading edge of thinking and practice, she has contributed to complexity research with the London School of Economics, is a ChangeMaster with LaMarsh Associates of Chicago and co-author of The Power of the Tale: Using Narratives for Organisational Success and Gestalt Coaching in The Handbook of Coaching Psychology.
