Jonathan has been a coach and consultant to a wide range of companies in the UK, the US and Australia since 1993. He draws on his rich experience at the very highest levels of sport; he represented Australia at four World Canoeing Championships, and coached medal winners on the Australian and British teams across the last six Olympic Games including London 2012.

Jonathan established Performance1 to bring a fresh and deep approach to his work with leaders. His coaching draws on his sophisticated understanding of people and business, which helps his clients to perform at their best in a complex world. Jonathan has a calm and robust presence. His willingness and ability to "say the unsayable” quickly gets to the heart of a topic and enables leaders to productively confront, explore and re-frame the barriers that hold them back. The results are transformational.

Assignments include building and integrating multi-cultural teams on complex engineering and construction projects, advising on improvements in a FTSE10 executive team’s effectiveness, guiding a FTSE 100 Finance Director through the transition to CEO, and developing a programme to fast track the next generation of sport scientists and coaches in preparation for the 2012 Olympics.

Jonathan is a full member of the Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS) and is an accredited Sports Psychologist. He gained a first class degree in Psychology from the University of Tasmania, and continues his postgraduate research into the psychology of elite performance at Aberystwyth University.

Among his clients: Paralympics GB as they prepared for London 2012, international law firm Pinsent Masons, the investment company F&C REIT, Ensco, Arcelor-Mittal, Virgin Limited Edition, and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He also works with the Benedictine Centre for Spirituality in Cockfosters.
