Performance1 is based on two world views: The first is a view of the world through the eyes of our clients: Organisations and individuals who want the support of a consultant or coach are generally looking for someone who understands them, who brings something special, and who can quickly forge a close partnership that delivers new solutions and capabilities. You don’t want a bog standard solution (after all, who is bog standard nowadays?) and you demand value for money.
From the consultant’s perspective:
Many of the most effective consultants fiercely guard their independence, making it hard to coral them into a conventional consulting company. Yet at the same time they need to keep on learning and developing their skills, and they value collaboration with respected peers on interesting projects. Performance1 lives at the intersection of these two world views.
We meet your needs as a client by bringing together consultants with the experience to quickly see the patterns that make a difference. We help you make sense of a turbulent situation and develop the capability to perform; as an individual leader, as a management team, or across your whole organisation. We don’t maintain expensive offices or teams of marketing people, so you pay for quality consulting not excessive overheads.
We meet our own needs as consultants through a challenging and supportive community that allows us each to maintain our autonomy without ever needing to feel alone. Each of us brings skills, experience and a willingness to collaborate and learn from each other.
Since February 2000 this approach has allowed us to go from strength to strength – and we’ll keep doing it so long as it stays fun for us and effective for you.
